• After switching to represent Cyprus, Tofalides won his first gold medal at the FIE Men’s Foil Competition Satellite in Antalya, Turkey, in 2016. His performances have significantly raised the profile of fencing in Cyprus.

Alexander competed in the 2024 Paris Olympic Games representing Team Cyprus, achieving 31st place in the Men’s Individual Foil event.
